B - Boldly Go E - Embrace Equity H - Humble Confidence I - Inclusive Stewardship V - Value Reputation E - Extraordinary Experience Position Summary The Energy Efficiency Concierge is primarily responsible for performing ASHRAE Level 1 assessments, developing assessment reports and scopes of work suggestions for energy efficiency and related health and safety retrofits, monitoring contractors to ensure quality and timeliness of work, and maintaining multiple residential project scopes simultaneously. The Energy Efficiency Concierge has deep experience and knowledge of residential energy assessments, weatherization, and overall understanding of the practice of building science. You will collaborate with supervisors to share best practices and continually improve operations. Position Duties and Responsibilities: This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. * Embrace and operate within our core values. * Establish and maintain positive working relationships with customers and clients by ensuring a high level of customer service. * Provide inside support to Program Manager, Energy Engineers and Energy Advisors as needed. * Assist in gathering essential information from the client to prepare proposals. * Assist with developing conference materials and presentations. * Understanding industry trends and their implications for Walker-Miller e.g. assessing the impact of new programs and business on the company's operations and bottom line. * Assist with communication messaging strategies for overall program to realize customer satisfaction enhancements. * Assist with establishing contactors to generate leads through attending events and daily outreach efforts. * Identify eligible participants and conduct Initial interview with potential participants to gauge interest. * Interview with site operating personnel and complete a Preliminary Energy Assessment. * Perform ASHRAE Level 1 Assessment and develop high level reports. * Educate both internal and external stakeholders on energy efficiency recommendations and provide a comprehensive approach for next steps. * Assess properties for health and safety issues. * Conduct a warm lead transfer to program Account Manager. * Establish relationships with contractors who perform ASHRAE Level 2 Assessments and Weatherization measures. Basic Qualifications * Associate degree or higher with 5 years of continuous work experience in the electric or natural gas utility industry, facilities management, HVAC design or sales, residential, commercial and/or industrial lighting, or conservation and energy management. * Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with customers, clients, team members, and socio-economic multiethnic individuals and/or groups. * Must be able to handle a wide work variety and thrive in a fast-paced environment. * Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload * Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook * Strong data entry skills in tracking systems/databases. * Knowledgeable on the development of budgets, financial reports, scope of work, and funding contracts. * Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems. * Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, and ratios. * Background preferred in one or more of the following: * Building science & design * Building envelope * Weatherization, or related fields * Building maintenance, home inspection * HVAC, lighting, controls, / renewable energy * Ability to complete detailed inspections of buildings, including crawl spaces and attics. * Knowledge of construction tools * Reliable transportation Desired Qualifications * Department of Energy Home Energy Score Assessor * ASHRAE BEAP - Building Energy Assessment Professional Certification * Experience in customer services, sales, and/or field work * Experience with Salesforce Licenses & Certifications * BPI BA - Building Analyst Certification * Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Travel Requirements * Willingness to travel up 50% of the time, including occasional travel. Physical Demands and Work Environment * Required to frequently stand, walk, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. * Noise level is typically moderate. * May occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. * May occasionally be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; and vibration.
