About the Role

: GEM HD Signs & Banners is seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Sales Representative to help local businesses grow through custom signage, print, apparel and marketing solutions. This part-time role is primarily remote with client visits around Macomb and Oakland Counties.

Responsibilities

:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses.
• Introduce and promote GEM HD Signs & Banners print, signage, apparel and marketing services.
• Identify client needs and recommend tailored solutions.
• Manage lead follow-ups and track activities (simple reporting tools).
• Meet clients on-site as needed (local travel required).
• Tracking lead generation

• Conduct outreach (calls, emails, in-person visits) to introduce services to potential clients.
• Schedule and conduct discovery meetings to understand client branding needs.
• Maintain a consistent follow-up cadence for leads, quotes, and past clients.
• Provide detailed quotes and proposals for signage, print, and apparel projects.
• Close sales and ensure proper handoff to production/fulfillment teams. Marketing & Promotion Support
• Identify local business trends and recommend tailored print/signage packages (e.g., Grand Openings, Seasonal Campaigns, Hiring Signs).
• Assist with developing local promotions or bundled offers.
• Coordinate social media shoutouts or customer spotlight posts after a big order.
• Attend and network at local events (chamber mixers, expos, etc.) to build brand presence.
• Help build and maintain a client referral program or loyalty initiative. CRM & Sales Tracking
• Track leads, opportunities, and conversion status using a CRM or shared sales tracker.
• Monitor and report weekly outreach efforts (calls made, quotes sent, deals closed).
• Maintain accurate customer records (contact info, preferences, artwork specs). Creative Collaboration
• Work with the design team to develop mockups or visuals for customer approval.
• Provide input on signage or print layout based on client goals and usage.
• Ensure branded apparel or print items align with client style and messaging. Local Client Service & Delivery
• Drop off proof samples, marketing kits, or final products to local clients.
• Walk businesses through install options, placement suggestions, or apparel sizing.
