Now's your chance as we are searching for a new person to join our International Sales team for a part-time schedule from our new NoMad office. Rizzoli New York began its publishing operation in 1974 and has become a leader in luxury illustrated publishing, with a focus on the fashion, interior design, culinary, art, architecture, and photography categories. Rizzoli's Universe imprint was added in 1990, marking Rizzoli's entree into the pop- culture worlds of humor, beauty, sports, performing arts, and gay and alternative lifestyles. Rizzoli produces its museum and exhibitions publishing under the imprint Rizzoli Electa, in collaboration with leading Italian book publisher and sister company Mondadori Electa. In the United States, Canada, and Latin America, our corporate entity Rizzoli International Publications, Inc. distributes the English-Language titles of French publisher Flammarion, as well as British publisher Batsford (with its imprints Scala and Pitkin). Rizzoli International Publications distributes Australian publisher Smith Street Books in the United States, Canada and Latin America. Rizzoli International Publications also distributes worldwide the English-Language titles of distinguished Italian publisher and sister company Mondadori Electa and of America's Gagosian Gallery, Acquavella Galleries, and Tourbillon International. In 2024, Rizzoli opened an office in the United Kingdom and purchased the prominent environmental publisher, Chelsea Green Publishing. In addition to our publishing house, the company maintains the Rizzoli Bookstore which specializes in literature, photography, architecture, interior design, culinary, and the fine and applied arts. The bookstore also stocks a selection of Italian, French and Spanish-language fiction and non-fiction literature, a unique find in New York City. About the Role: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented International Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role will provide crucial administrative and logistical support to our international sales group, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the success of our global publishing efforts. This is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days per week in our NoMad Manhattan office Responsibilities: * Manage and maintain accurate sales data, track international sales performance, and prepare reports for the sales team. Develop familiarization of title base and bestsellers. * Assist with the organization of international sales events, conferences, and trade shows, including travel arrangements and event materials. * Serve as a point of contact for international sales inquiries, liaising with internal teams and external partners. * Assist with the preparation of sales presentations, marketing materials, and other sales-related documents. * Maintain and update the sales database, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. * Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and new sales opportunities in international markets Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,Word). Strong interest in international publishing and rights. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Familiarity with international sales processes and procedures.
