About Us

: We're a 100% plant-based frozen subscription dog food company based in San Diego, CA. We use organic ingredients, compostable packaging, and our main goal is to make a positive impact on the environment -- while feeding pups a healthy and nutritious diet.

About the Role

: We're looking for a motivated, dog-loving sales rep who can run our farmers market booths and do door-to-door sales in nearby neighborhoods on non- market days. Your mission is simple: spread the word about Dylan's Pet Food, sell sample packs, and convert new customers into subscription members.

Responsibilities

:

• Attend 1-2 farmers markets or local events per week (weekends)
• Set up and break down booths (training provided)
• Educate customers about the benefits of plant-based dog food
• Sell sample packs and encourage customers to subscribe
• Canvass nearby neighborhoods door-to-door on weekdays to offer free samples and sign up new subscribers
• Hit monthly goals (subscriptions and sample pack sales)

Compensation

Structure:

• Farmers Markets:
• $15/hour for event hours (typically 5-hour shifts)
• PLUS 25% commission on all sample packs sold
• PLUS commission if your sample pack sales lead to a customer signing up for a subscription (25% of their first order and 10% recurring for up to 2 years)
• Door-to-Door Sales:
• 100% commission-based (no hourly pay)
• 30% commission on sample pack sales
• 25% commission on first month of subscription sales + 10% recurring commission on subscription renewals for up to 2 years
• No cap on commissions -- the more you sell, the more you earn! How Tracking Works: Each rep will receive custom QR codes linked to their personal sales profile. When you sell a sample pack or sign up a subscription, your customer will scan your QR code to order -- and you'll get credit for every sale that comes through your code. You'll be able to see all your sales and track your active subscribers through a live dashboard -- making it easy to monitor your commissions and your success! Ideal Candidate:
• Outgoing, friendly, and energetic
• Passionate about dogs, health, and sustainability
• Sales experience preferred but not required (we'll train the right person)
• Must have reliable transportation to markets and neighborhoods
• Comfortable talking to new people at events and door-to-door Permit and Legal

Requirements

: If you are already licensed and permitted to do door-to-door sales in San Diego, that's a huge plus! If you are not yet licensed, you must obtain the necessary solicitor's permits and follow all local, city, and neighborhood regulations before starting door- to-door sales activities. We're happy to guide you through the process if you're unfamiliar with it -- we'll help point you in the right direction so you can get permitted quickly and start selling with confidence. (Please note: maintaining compliance with all required permits is your responsibility as a representative.)
