Full description of the position
The Director of Sales at BEL Promo is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth by leading and managing the company's sales teams. This role requires a high-performing sales leader with a strong track record of managing both inside and outside sales teams in the promotional products or B2B space. The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives, ensuring the success of our Strategic Sales Managers (SSMs), National Sales Manager, and Sales Supervisor. This individual will work closely with Marketing, Customer Service, and Operations to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue growth while maintaining profitability. Essential Functions: (The reason this job exists is to perform these functions. Sales Leadership & Strategy: * Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and meet aggressive company sales targets * Establish KPIs and performance metrics for the sales teams to ensure alignment with company objectives * Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for the SSMs, National Sales Manager, and Sales Supervisor to maximize sales performance * Collaborate with Marketing & Customer Service teams to develop strategies that improve client engagement and retention * Work closely with the Managing Director to analyze sales performance, adjust strategies, and ensure alignment with corporate goals Strategic Sales & Account Management: * Oversee Strategic Sales Managers (SSMs), ensuring they maintain and grow relationships with the company's top-tier accounts * Monitor sales pipeline and proactively identify opportunities for growth, upselling, and cross-selling within our best client segments * Personally engage in high-level negotiations and relationship-building with key distributors and industry partners * Oversee vendor and account contracts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely updates Multi-Line Rep & National Sales Oversight: * Directly manage the National Sales Manager, who oversees Multi-Line Rep groups covering 40 states * Ensure Multi-Line Reps are well-supported with training, product knowledge, and sales tools to effectively represent BEL Promo in their territories * Evaluate Multi-Line Rep performance and make strategic adjustments to improve territory coverage and revenue growth Inside Sales Management: * Provide leadership and guidance to the Sales Supervisor, ensuring they effectively manage the inside sales team and drive the successful conversion of inbound leads * Develop strategies to convert inbound inquiries into long-term, high-value clients * Implement CRM best practices to track leads, follow-ups, and account management activity Financial & Operational Accountability: * Monitor sales performance, margins, and pricing strategies to ensure profitability * Work with the Managing Director and Finance team to create accurate sales forecasts and revenue projections * Ensure compliance with all company policies, pricing structures, and promotional guidelines Essential Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree, required Experience Required: * Minimum 10 years of sales experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing both inside and outside sales teams * Proven track record of successfully growing revenue in a B2B or promotional products industry * Knowledge of workforce management principles (forecasting & scheduling) * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) and CRM systems. * Experience managing a multi-tiered sales team * Strong understanding of CRM systems, sales forecasting, and pipeline management * Strong ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and implement data-driven strategies * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team * Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills * Ability to work flexible hours based on business needs * Excellent negotiation and leadership skills * Ability to travel as needed to participate in industry events and visit key clients and Multi-Line Reps LI-Hybrid BEL USA is proud to be a certified Great Place to Work and Top Workplace! 80% of our employees think BEL is a great place to work.
