Job Purpose: To provide engineering support to sales, manufacturing, and customers to provide the best possible solutions for new and existing opportunities. Key Responsibilities: * Applications Engineer & Business Development * Provide pre-sales technical assistance * Research and build relationships with new clients. Work with customers on solutions to new projects * Specify solutions working from customer specs * Support sales and engineering team to grow existing customer base * Maintain documents and records * Provide customer service support in house as well as at customer locations * Provide technical assistance to manufacturing as needed * Provide maintenance and training for equipment and procedures, writing of procedures as needed * Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships. * Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs. * Identify opportunities for services and distribution that will lead to an increase in sales. Cold call as appropriate to grow a pipeline of opportunities. * Identify business opportunities and develop a pipeline of new business. * Build key customer relationships. * Support inside sales as needed. * Possible website support and assist with technical support for advertising, e-commerce experience a plus. Ideal candidate will be/have: * Experience with Servo Drive system and specifications as it relates to electric motor performance. * Proficient with brushed and brushless servo motors * Proficient with servo motor controls and drives * Experienced with encoders, hall assemblies, and other feedback devices * Experienced with gearboxes, brakes, etc. * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) * Excellent organizational skills * Experienced with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, Excel and Word * Comfortable in front of customers Provide after sales support services * Education (BA Electrical Engineering) * 2 to 5 years' experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $84,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off Schedule: * Monday to Friday Experience: * Engineering: 2 years (Required) Ability to Commute: * Worcester, MA 01603 (Required) Ability to Relocate: * Worcester, MA 01603: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
