Platt Builders is a multiple award-winning, high-end residential builder and millwork company providing fine quality renovations, custom cabinetry, and new home construction for discerning clientele since 1992. We are looking to add an experienced Estimator to our team. You will be responsible for supporting our sales team with detailed and well-organized estimates of luxury residential home renovation/construction projects in the western suburbs and Route 2 corridor. This important role reports directly to the Director of Sales. Your job is to review proposal specifications and construction drawings, determine job scope of work, perform take-offs and organize sub-contractor quotes, and assemble an accurate estimate in a timely manner. Qualifications * Construction background and knowledge of remodeling process * Minimum 1-year residential construction estimating experience * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design and architectural drawings * Professional appearance and demeanor * Computer skills: MS Office including advanced skills in Excel, Plan Swift, or similar take-off software * Able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check What is in it for you: A rewarding career where you are well paid, well respected and challenged.
