Full description of the position

Description: Day in The Life * Procurement, carrier sourcing, negotiate and track shipments. * Establish and maintain carrier relationships to leverage the freight spend for the needs of our customers. * Manage and prioritize tracking. * Sell broker services via phone (minimum of 40 outbound calls). * Negotiate carrier rates. * Manage a healthy relationship between client, carrier, shipper, and receiver. * Emergency contact person for after hours. (It is a rotation) * The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned. Requirements: Education/Work Experience * High School Diploma or GED preferred. * 2-3 years logistics experience. * Completion of postsecondary education is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Self-Starter and highly motivated. * Ability to multi-task. * Attentive to detail and deadlines. * Can work independently or with a team. * Organized in a fast-paced work environment. * Strong PC, phone skills and excellent customer service skills.
