Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their purchases. You will play a critical role in driving sales through effective upselling techniques and maintaining an organized and inviting shopping environment. Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. * Utilize upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales. * Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash transactions with accuracy. * Maintain stock levels by restocking shelves and organizing merchandise displays. * Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries regarding products and services. * Supervise and train new staff members, ensuring they adhere to company policies and procedures. * Perform retail math calculations to assist with inventory management and sales reporting. * Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls or inquiries. * Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times. Experience * Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred but not required; we welcome enthusiastic candidates willing to learn. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective customer interaction. * Familiarity with cash handling procedures and experience operating a cash register is a plus. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. * Knowledge of retail math concepts is beneficial for managing inventory and sales data effectively.
