Full description of the position

Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Insurance Sales Manager to lead a team of producers in one of the largest independent agencies in the United States. This position is ideal for highly motivated sales professional with a passion for leadership, a track record in insurance, and a desire to build and inspire a thriving sales culture. Responsibilities: * Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of licensed sales professionals * Set the standard by actively selling and contributing to overall agency production * Assess annual sales goals and build actionable plans to achieve them * Conduct regular performance evaluations and coaching sessions * Recruit, hire, and onboard top-tier sales talent * Hold team members accountable to performance metrics and agency standards * Foster a positive, high-energy environment that promotes growth and success * Manage difficult conversations and terminate employees when necessary with professionalism and clarity * Act as a key driver in shaping agency culture and momentum * Report on sales progress and pipeline metrics to agency leadership Qualifications: * Advanced degree from college or technical school; a combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates without an advanced degree * North Carolina Property and Casualty License * 2+ years of commercial insurance sales experience * Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and lead others * A "lead from the front" mentality, actively contributing to sales success * Comfortable with performance management and accountability systems * Experience with Applied Epic preferred Benefits: * Work/Life balance * Health/Dental/Vision insurance * Nurse concierge * Telehealth with mobile urgent care service * 401k with dollar-for-dollar match * PTO and paid holidays * Wellness resources * Free food, snacks, and beverages
