In this role, the Utech Sales Specialist efficiently handles sales transactions and provides expert advice on computers and accessories. They offer exceptional customer support, addressing inquiries and helping customers find the right products to meet their needs. They manage vendor communications for product availability and promotions and stay updated on the latest technological trends. Additionally, they assist with inventory management, ensure product displays are appealing, and troubleshoot any issues with products to ensure customer satisfaction. This part-time position offers a great opportunity to contribute to the efficient operation of the University Campus Store while gaining valuable experience in shipping, receiving, and customer service within a dynamic university environment. Responsibilities * Sales Transactions: Efficiently handle sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction. * Customer Support: Provide expert advice and assistance to customers, helping them find the right computers and accessories to meet their needs. * Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the latest technology trends and product features to offer informed recommendations. * Vendor Communication: Manage communications with vendors regarding product availability, promotions, and new arrivals. * Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including stock checks and restocking shelves. * Product Displays: Ensure product displays are appealing and organized to attract customers. * Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any issues with products to ensure customer satisfaction. * Promotions: Participate in promotional activities and events to boost sales and engage customers. Minimum Qualifications Must be a current University of Utah student. This is an entry-level position. Training will be provided. Demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills and the ability to pass a security clearance is required. Some positions require a minimum of six months cashiering experience. Preferences * Previous experience in computer hardware/software troubleshooting is preferred. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
