Full description of the position

As a Sales Associate, you will: * Stock front-end areas, including registers, shelving, coolers, and freezers, while rotating items in accordance with the FIFO system. * Check out customers efficiently and accurately, adhering to proper cash-out procedures. * Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs promptly and effectively while modeling suggestive selling techniques. * Assist in managing customer flow and reducing wait times by addressing backed-up lines. * Answer phones courteously and promptly. * Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned. * Assist with training new Cashiers/Stockers as needed. * Arrive at the workstation on time, appropriately dressed, and ready to work; fulfill all scheduled shifts. * Perform other duties as assigned by management. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: * Must be able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly. * Standing/Walking and going up and down stairs throughout shift. * Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. * Exposure to 34-40 F walk-in cooler. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, conveyor belts, and hand trucks. Qualifications * Strong customer service and communication skills * Experience in retail sales and cash handling * Proficient in basic math and retail math * Ability to operate a cash register and POS systems * Knowledge of stocking and merchandising techniques Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $17.00 per hour Shift: * 8 hour shift * Day shift * Morning shift Work Location: In person
