Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team at our new The UPS Store in San Diego. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selections, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. You will play a key role in driving sales and maintaining the store's appearance. Qualifications * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment once the store is established in the community * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to perform job duties under limited direction * Strong computer skills and ability to learn using store equipment proficiently * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds * Attention to detail Responsibilities * Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations to showcase features and benefits effectively. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and inventory to assist customers accurately. * Operate cash registers and handle transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in cash handling. * Stock shelves and organize merchandise to create an appealing shopping environment. * Utilize basic math skills for pricing, discounts, and inventory management. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. * Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store. Experience * Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required. * Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as this will enhance customer interactions. * Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions and managing stock levels. * A passion for sales and helping customers find the right products and solutions will contribute to your success in this role. Additional Preferences * Notary Public license is a plus, or associates will be offered support in obtaining training and certification * Previous experience in shipping, packaging, printing, and mailbox services is preferred.
