Full description of the position

Job Title: Customer Service/Inside Sales Representative Pay: $22.00/hour Hours: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Location: Tulsa, OK Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative serves as the primary liaison between the company and its customers, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction. This role is responsible for accurate and timely processing of orders, communication with customers, and coordination with internal departments to support on-time deliveries and maintain proper documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned customer accounts via phone, email, and customer portals.
  • Manage customer communications related to orders, pricing, delivery schedules, stock availability, and general inquiries.
  • Process incoming customer purchase orders: assign job numbers, verify inventory, enter sales orders, and generate proof copies.
  • Maintain open order status reports and send shipping documentation to customers daily.
  • Upload documents to customer portals as required.
  • Issue Return Goods Authorizations (RGAs) and Return for Analysis (RFAs).
  • Support Accounts Receivable with follow-up on past-due invoices.
  • Maintain accurate customer pricing schedules.
  • Scan and archive customer purchase orders in Master Control.
  • Provide coverage for co-workers during absences.
  • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with safety-sensitive role requirements.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience in a customer service or sales support role.
  • Strong customer service and telephone communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and general office technology.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong mathematical skills for pricing and invoice support.
  • Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable and self-motivated team player with a professional demeanor.
