Responsibilities * Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their purchases. * Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately. * Process sales using the POS system, ensuring all items are scanned correctly. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions and upsell products to enhance customer experience. * Stock shelves and ensure merchandise is displayed neatly and attractively. * Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages. * Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. * Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies. Requirements * Proven experience in a cashier or retail sales role preferred. * Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette. * Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. * Familiarity with cash registers and POS systems. * Ability to upsell products effectively to maximize sales opportunities. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. * A team player who can also work independently when required.
