JOB DESCRIPTION About Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles: Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles has been committed to providing the highest quality custom vehicles and specialty trailers since 1974. Our main customers include a variety of industries across the country including medical, municipal, police, Department of Defense and emergency related specialty vehicles and trailers. Most importantly, people are happy and love to work at Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles. JOB SUMMARY: This is a full-time sales position. Our customers are mainly municipalities, public utilities and medical organizations. This role involves close collaboration with management, estimating, engineering and consultation with prospective clients to discuss their desired scope of work, design, the prospect's budget, feasibility of the project, and method of procurement. Consultation is offered to educate customers about the process and timeline of designing and building a specialty vehicle / trailer along with pricing. It requires following up with current and previous customers and qualifying new leads through phone calls, emails, and/or in person meetings. This position is not about the "Hard Sell". It requires some cold calling (on the telephone) to develop a book of new clientele and/or in-person meetings with potential prospects. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Strategically identify, pre-qualify, and acquire new customers * Qualification of incoming phone leads and potential customers * Calling on / following up with previous customers or lost projects * Develop strategies to grow business in assigned region or market segment * Develop a sales plan to deliver strategic focus on key accounts, developing relationships to enable the area to deliver on aggressive growth goals. * Achieves annual sales revenue goals * Develop new business with key accounts. Consistently seeks to develop and expand business relationships with key accounts. Qualifies, assesses and reviews potential projects and opportunities. * Establishes and maintains personal long-term customer relationships with key decision makers to influence opportunities. * Work with senior sales staff and management for training and guidance * Develop scope of work / proposal using established company methodology & practices, ensuring all aspects of the customers project is incorporated into the final draft of the proposal * Responsible for the timely submission and high quality of proposals to potential customers. Serves as the team leader for the internal support resources assigned to their region for the proposal development process and submission including estimating, engineering and delivery timeframes. * Meet all schedules and deadlines for quoting, required customer documentation and other requirements * Attend Pre-bid meetings on the phone or in person if required * Visit customers when beneficial * Act as a liaison between customers, Quality Vans management, purchasing, and production staff; keeping detailed notes as needed * Utilize all company tools, such as CRM databases, emails and other software as a tool to maintain and keep track of current bids, new business and new orders. * Ensure all estimating and specifications meet the customer's desires and Company's quality standards * Educate prospects on Quality Vans & Specialty Vehicles capabilities and provide them with opportunities and procurement information * Keep up to date with current grant funding opportunities for the clients that are in need of funding * Provide outstanding Customer Service over the telephone, emails and in person * Attend trade shows, conferences and training conventions nationwide on an as-needed basis in state and out of state * Follow up with all trade show leads, building a relationship with the client for the next specialty vehicle or trailer they need for their entity * Other responsibilities as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES: * This is an "in-office" position in our Tempe, AZ location. This position is expected to be either working in the office, out visiting customers, or attending trade shows. * Must be self-motivated, positive in approach and outlook. * Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentations * Must be able to interpret CAD Drawings and customer provided specifications (training available) * Must be able to manage multiple projects and have a high level of organizational skills REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: * Positive attitude and willingness to tackle new projects * Previous commercial sales experience * Outside sales experience highly preferred * Must be self-motivated, highly organized and positive in approach and outlook * Must possess proven problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentations * Proven expertise in the full Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, Outlook) * Valid Arizona Driver's License with good standing MVR. * Excellent diagnostic, written and verbal communication skills * Ability to successfully pass a post-offer background check Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Compensation Package: * Commission pay Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
