Summary: The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the successful solicitation and booking of catering events. This role requires a dynamic and results-oriented individual with excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sales & Marketing: * Actively solicit new business through proactive sales calls, site visits, industry networking, and targeted marketing campaigns. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in the local market, including corporate clients, event planners, and social organizations. * Develop and execute creative sales strategies to increase market share and achieve revenue goals. * Prepare and present compelling proposals, contracts, and presentations to prospective clients. * Conduct site inspections and menu tastings with clients. * Negotiate and close contracts with clients, ensuring profitability and maximizing revenue. Event Planning & Execution: * Work closely with the culinary team to develop customized menus and pricing for each event. * Coordinate all aspects of event planning, including room setups, staffing, and equipment rentals. * Oversee event execution, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. * Manage and resolve any client concerns or issues that may arise during the event. * Conduct post-event follow-up with clients to gather feedback and build long-term relationships. Administrative: * Maintain accurate records of all sales activity, including leads, proposals, contracts, and revenue. * Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs). * Utilize CRM software to manage customer relationships and track sales progress. * Stay abreast of industry trends and competitive activity. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: 2-5 years of experience in catering sales or a related field. Skills: * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. * Strong negotiation and closing skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Cvent). * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Passion for the hospitality industry.
