Job Title: Sr. Applications Engineer * Department: Maryland Industrial Department Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland * Reports To: Vice President, Maryland Industrial * PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE: Senior Applications Engineer activities include assisting Industrial Sales Engineers and Inside Sales Representatives with application review and product selection. Our most successful Sr. Applications Engineers: * Possess superior communication and organizational skills * Exhibit goal-oriented behaviors and time management principles * Apply extensive attention to detail to all tasks * Exude a customer-focused attitude * Proficient in Microsoft Office * Have experience with other common software products; and pump-related software * Experience with pumping systems, heat transfer equipment, and process equipment preferred * Possess a strong mechanical aptitude * Industrial sales experience with proven results required * Possess Technical or Business degree preferred * Must be able to pass background and reference checks; as well as a drug test * Must maintain an active driver 's license with a clean driving record Scope of Responsibility: * Assist Industrial Sales Engineers and Inside Sales Representatives with applications, product selection, pricing, etc. * Keep current on markets, products, and technologies * Joint sales calls with Industrial Sales Engineers to review applications in the field as needed * Attend vendor training and meetings as required * 'Product Champion' for assigned products * Be available to assist all departments within Cummins-Wagner * Work with Inside Sales Manager in developing an in-house product training program * Perform all other duties as assigned Cummins-Wagner Co, Inc, Gives Back to Employees: * Employee Stock Ownership Program * Bonus Program * Paid time off and holidays * 401k Match * Flexible Spending account * Life Insurance * Comprehensive Health Insurance * Long-Term Disability Insurance Our History: Founded in 1960 by "Charlie" Cummins and "Chub" Wagner, Cummins-Wagner began as a one-product, two- employee Company in a one-room office.
