Job Title: Part-Time Outside Sales & Marketing Representative Company: Vandalia Bus Lines Location: St. Louis Metro Area (Primarily offsite visits) Hours: Part-Time (10-20 hours per week) Compensation: Hourly rate + Bonus Job Summary: Vandalia Bus Lines is seeking a motivated and dynamic Part-Time Outside Sales & Marketing Representative to expand our brand recognition, attract new customers, regain past customers, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, goal-oriented, and comfortable with offsite visits, cold calling, and strategic customer engagement. Key Responsibilities: * Brand Awareness & Promotion: * Increase brand visibility and awareness within the community and target markets. * Distribute marketing materials and promotional content to potential customers. * Customer Acquisition & Retention: * Conduct offsite visits to potential clients, including schools, event planners, sports clubs, and corporate organizations. * Reconnect with previous customers to regain business. * Maintain and strengthen relationships with current customers to ensure continued satisfaction and repeat business. * Sales Development: * Generate leads through cold calls, networking, and attending community events or relevant trade shows. * Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in target markets, including retail tour packages, athletic team travel, and corporate shuttle services. * Prepare and present sales pitches tailored to each potential customer's needs. * Customer Relationship Building: * Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers. * Act as a liaison between the customer and internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met. * Market Research & Strategy: * Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competition, and emerging industry trends. * Provide feedback to the management team regarding customer preferences and competitive dynamics. * Reporting & Communication: * Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity. * Provide regular updates and reports to management on sales progress, customer feedback, and market opportunities. Qualifications & Skills Required: * Previous experience in outside sales, marketing, or customer relationship management preferred. * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly. * Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Ability to travel locally for offsite visits and client meetings. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
