Parts Counter Person The Truck Shop is a division of Small & Son Oil Dist. Co, a family-owned and operated company in business for more than 60 years. We are a busy Heavy and Medium Duty commercial truck dealership looking for a highly motivated, reliable, person to join our Parts Department. Our Parts Counter associates play an important role in day-to-day operations and are at the forefront of customer interaction. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter with mechanical/parts knowledge able to learn quickly and provide superior customer service. Job

Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to :

• Greet and assist customers who walk into the building
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers over the telephone
• Research and look up parts on a wide variety of makes, models, manufacturers using various tools, OEM catalogs, and aftermarket parts resources
• Place parts orders for customers and shop service technicians as needed
• Pull parts from inventory for customers and shop service technicians as needed
• Assist in parts look up for customers and shop service technicians as needed
• Perform daily inventory cycle counts Job Skills required:
• Excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills
• Multi-task and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency and work-flow
• Proficient computer skills - able to draft, edit, and organize documents as well as utilize various web-based resources and applications - Karmak experience a plus!.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office and Outlook Physical requirements:
• Frequent: Standing and walking throughout the warehouse
• Frequent: Stretching, lifting, reaching, up/above shoulders, bending, kneeling
• Frequent : Lifting and moving parts up to 50 pounds Parts Counter Person

• Monday through Friday
• 8am - 5pm (1 hour, unpaid lunch period) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
