Forward Slash Technology is a St. Louis-based information technology managed services and telecommunications provider, offering a wide variety of voice, data and security services to local businesses and municipalities throughout Missouri. We are a busy and growing company. We are looking for a Business Developer to help us drive growth and expansion opportunities for our company. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent networking skills, and a track record of successful business development initiatives. Experience in information technology services is a plus, but not required. *Duties & Responsibilities * Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and outreach efforts * Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders to generate leads and secure new business * Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals * Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders * Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed * Gather useful information from customer and competitor data * Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition of our products and services * Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline * Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business * Track and report on the status of proposal components * Stay updated on industry trends and developments, and share insights with internal teams * Work with the internal teams to create rate proposals * Drive the end-to-end sales process Ability and willingness to travel for meetings with prospective and existing clients * *Skills & Qualifications * Entrepreneurial way of thinking * Can identify economic trends and influences * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights to inform business decisions * Creative thinking in the development of new business segments * Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close deals, with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes for all parties involved * Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and partners at all levels * Proven experience in business development, sales, or related role, with a track record of achieving targets and driving revenue growth * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions clearly and persuasively * Familiarity with project management methodologies * Familiarity with the industry including equipment, logistics and supply-chain management * Problem-solving skills to propose mutually beneficial solutions Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software * *Education & Experience * High School Diploma or Equivalent required * Bachelor's degree in business, economics, marketing, management, or a similar field from an accredited education provider is preferred * Proven experience in sales or customer service * Perseverance and persistence * Proactivity Presentation skills * *Specific Requirements To maintain employment with our company, by mandate, each employee MUST complete and have the following. * Must be able to pass a MSHP/Federal fingerprint-based background check * Must complete training for and successfully complete a CJIS (Criminal Justice Information Systems) Security & Privacy Training Certification * Must be a US Citizen * Must have a valid US driver's license with a clean driving recordForward Slash Technology
