In this role, the Seasonal Sales Associate works under close supervision, assisting the store team during peak times by delivering excellent customer service in a dynamic sales culture built around GameTime Hobby's buy, sell, trade, and reservation model. This temporary position is focused on ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the store, primarily centered around sales, customer support, and store upkeep. The perfect candidate will have a strong focus on customer satisfaction and be available for peak sales periods during the holiday season. We will be looking to hire long term based on performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide exceptional guest service by greeting customers, identifying their gaming needs, offering product suggestions, and ensuring each guest feels appreciated for choosing GameTime Hobby. * Ensure the store is visually appealing, clean, and organized, and assist in executing holiday season sales initiatives. * Cleaning a variety of consoles, controllers, and accessories. * Support the store team in maintaining cleanliness in all areas, including customer-facing and backroom spaces, with attention to detail. * Help stock shelves, restock products as needed, and ensure merchandise on the floor is well-organized and easy to find. * Assist the store in hitting sales targets, improving profits, and reducing shrinkage during high-traffic periods. * Handle customer questions and concerns professionally, escalating any unresolved issues to a store keyholder when necessary. * Practice effective loss prevention, following all safety and inventory control procedures to minimize risks. * Adhere to all company policies, including but not limited to attendance, confidentiality, and conduct, while maintaining professional integrity. REQUIREMENTS * Must be at least 18 years old. * High school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required. * Previous retail experience or customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory. SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Flexibility to work during busy times, including nights, weekends, and holiday shifts. * Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions accurately and effectively. * A positive, energetic attitude with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer service. * Ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively in English; bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are an advantage. * Perform well in fast-paced environments and adapt to shifting priorities. * Work both independently and collaboratively with the team to achieve goals. * Maintain a professional appearance and meet attendance expectations. * Be able to stand, move, and interact with customers for up to 8 hours a day without assistance. * Be capable of lifting merchandise weighing up to 30 lbs., as well as bending, reaching, and climbing ladders as required.
