Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Associate to lead the day- to-day operations of our floral and gift shop. This position plays a key role in creating a warm, inviting atmosphere for customers while driving sales and ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs.
• Operate cash registers and Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately.
• Process transactions efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Assist in organizing merchandise displays to enhance the shopping experience.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding inventory and customer feedback.
• Provide knowledgeable answers to customer inquiries about products and promotions.
• Stay up-to-date with floral, gift, and retail industry trends. Identify and propose new product lines, services, or business opportunities to enhance the shop's offerings.

Requirements

• Proven retail management experience, preferably in a floral, boutique, or gift-related environment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers.
• Comfortable talking to customers on the phone.
• Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as needed.
