Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while driving sales through effective communication and product knowledge. This position requires a proactive approach to upselling and engaging with customers to enhance their shopping experience. Our team is looking for people who have a broad working knowledge of home repair/improvement and upkeep with plumbing, electrical, basic woodworking, lawn and garden care, wall repair and paint projects.

Duties

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer purchases.
• Utilize retail math skills to assist customers with inquiries regarding pricing, discounts, and promotions.
• Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while meeting customer needs.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a cohesive work environment and address any customer concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers.
• candidates are highly desirable, enhancing communication with a broader customer base.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash register operations is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of retail math for handling transactions and inventory management.
• Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
