Established medium-sized hydraulic and industrial service and supply company seeking an Accounting Specialist. We are looking for a motivated and career oriented candidate that is looking to fill an immediate need and show that they can meet new challenges daily. We are an expanding company and are looking for a candidate that wants to expand their accounting proficiency to take on increasing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

: This position will be cross-trained in both the Accounts Receivable (A/R) and Accounts Payable (A/P) departments:

• Responsible for all elements of A/R functions including customer invoice processing, processing payments, posting cash receipts, distributing customer statements, collecting past-due customer accounts, resolving discrepancies on customer accounts, and setting up new customer accounts.
• Responsible for all elements of A/P functions including verifying and processing incoming trade and expense invoices, batching and coding invoices to the correct account, identifying discrepancies and resolve issues, maintain and file vendor invoices.
• Willing to process all aspects of accounting functions as needed.
• Must be able to communicate well with customers & vendors

Requirements

:

• College education not required, but preferred
• Accounting experience can substitute for college degree
• Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new applications
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• High attention to detail and accuracy
