DJM Equipment Inc is looking for a full-time Rental Sales Specialist for its Fairport, NY location. This position requires a high level of attention to detail and organization. This would be a great fit for individuals who are highly self-motivated, sales experience, can work both independently and as part of a team, as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have strong customer relation skills and the ability to provide leadership, direction, and support to the Rental Associates, ensuring top level customer service, contract accuracy, handle accounts receivable at POS and customer satisfaction. Position Responsibilities: * Responsible for the overall performance and efficiency of the Rental Department and Rental Associates. * Provide team motivation and development to maximize performance and productivity. * Participate in the planning of and development of sales goals and metrics. * Consistently meet or exceed daily objectives as it relates to sales and customer service. * Accurately coordinate deliveries with trucking/delivery. Ability to deliver with a non CDL truck and trailer if needed * Coordinate with Service Manager to resolve customer problems as they relate to equipment inefficiencies, breakdowns, etc. * Daily coordination to facilitate rentals. * Train and develop new Rental Associates. * Handle any customer service issues and complaints directly. * Assist AR with collections efforts (i.e. Issue credits, obtain Job info etc.). * Other duties as assigned Requirements: * Education: 2+ years of customer service, sales, equipment rental or related experience. Experience - ability to operate compact equipment, basic mechanical understanding of equipment. * Good working understanding of construction market, job phases, needs and product line. * Good basic understanding of the rental industry and practices. * Teamwork with other departments for the common good of the company. * Sales Experience. * Works to build professional image and credibility with employees and other internal contacts. * Monitors costs associated with running the rental department. Basic understanding of company's systems, processes and controls (including asset control systems), and the interrelationship of various internal systems. * Keeps/prepares clear and accurate records. * Works effectively under short deadlines. * Good basic skills in negotiating schedules, deliverables, and charges with customers. * Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated success developing relationships. * Excellent written and verbal communicator with strong presentation skills. * Good project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. * Computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office, spreadsheets, and database applications. Physical Demands: * Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. * Some jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures. * All duties must be performed according to our company safety policies and guidelines.
