Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. You will play a key role in driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques while maintaining the store's appearance and inventory.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
• Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems to process sales efficiently.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance the customer shopping experience and increase sales.
• Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to customers.
• Maintain stock levels by organizing merchandise on shelves and restocking as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members when required, providing guidance and support.
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing to attract customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and basic cash handling procedures is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory tasks.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A proactive approach to upselling products and enhancing customer satisfaction.
