Ward-Boland Associates (WBA) is recruiting for several open Sales Account Executive positions in our commercial HVAC and Mission Critical Power & Cooling divisions. WBA is a manufacturer's representative for Vertiv/Liebert and supplies Power and Cooling infrastructure for data centers and other mission critical environments. We also represent an additional 20 commercial HVAC manufacturers including Greenheck, Bard, Ductsox, Macurco and others. We have been serving the greater Maryland area for over 50 years. Our main office is located in Owings Mills, MD and we have satellite offices in Frederick, MD and Dagsboro, DE. Please see for more information. The Account Executive's position is a full time position working primarily during (but not limited to) normal business hours Monday - Friday based at either our Owings Mills, MD office. JOB SUMMARY: * Market, promote and sell technical electronic and/or HVAC equipment products and services in an individually assigned territory. * Calls on client representatives, such as engineers, contractors or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments. * Examines drawings, specs, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare cost estimates of proposed equipment or services. Additional Responsibilities: * Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts. * Specific duties will include, and not be limited to: preparing and following up on quotations, general sales support, prospecting for new accounts, regular in-field customer visits, and preparing customer submittals. * Communicate accurately and effectively with all customers and sales associates. * Travel which includes driving to local customer sites as needed by the associate to make sales calls and presentations. Occasional overnight travel for training or customer factory witness testing in the manufacturing plants. Desired Skills and Experience: * A technical understanding and experience with electrical and/or mechanical systems * A 4 year degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent field experience. * Technical /Mission Critical Equipment Sales experience is highly desired. * Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is needed. Basic Qualifications: * Account development and account management skills. * PC and software competency for all sales functions. * Must be self-motivated and have excellent organization and communication skills.
