Overview

We are a family-first business seeking a skilled and detail oriented mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will diagnose and repair a variety of outdoor power equipment, including lawn mowers, tractors, and other small- engine machinery. Your expertise will be essential in helping our customers keep their equipment operating efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues on a range of outdoor power equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, tractors, small engines)
• Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, and blade sharpening
• Repair or replace damaged parts including belts, spark plugs, batteries, and carburetors
• Conduct detailed inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and recommend timely repairs
• Ensure all work performed meets safety standards and quality requirements
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Create and complete work orders
• Type diligent notes in the work orders to maintain an accurate accounting of each job
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding repair needs, costs, and timelines

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years experience with small-engine or agricultural equipment repair (lawn mowers, tractors, etc.)
• Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for prolonged periods
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to perform basic computer functions
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license Advanced

Qualifications

• Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki, Kohler or Honda certified (preferred)
• Experience working directly with quickbooks (preferred)
• Fork lift license (preferred) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
