Position: Sales Engineer Department: Sales Location: Tempe, AZ Employment Type: Full-time, M-F 9-6, Non-Exempt Work style: Office Salary: $70-84K/year * A Japanese manufacturing company specializing in electronics, electrical machinery, and the automotive sectors is looking for an*Account Manager! * Familiarity with Japanese culture is required to effectively perform job responsibilities. Summary The Sales Engineer supports business growth by coordinating with clients, engineering, quality assurance, and production teams (domestic and international). This role handles sales operations, customer support, and assists in solving technical and quality issues, ensuring timely delivery and strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Sales Support (40%) * Manage purchase orders, delivery schedules, and payment processes. * Process and communicate design work orders internally and with the Japan office. * Provide engineering support after product delivery. * Track and report sales transactions. * Set monthly and semi-annual sales targets. Business Development (40%) * Report on market and customer trends. * Create cost targets and quotations. * Visit customers (domestic and international) and join conference calls. * Develop and expand sales volume and share customer insights internally. Engineering Support (10%) * Support customers with troubleshooting and repairs. * Assist with evaluation of returned products. Other Duties (10%) * Build product knowledge and continuously improve work processes. * Support special projects and maintain workplace safety and communication. Requirements Skills * Strong communication and customer service skills. * Ability to multitask and prioritize. * Knowledge of product marketing and sales techniques. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic Japanese preferred. Education * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Experience * 3-5 years in sales or marketing in the engineering industry. Other * Valid driver's license required. * Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
