Pacific Pets is a family-owned small business nestled in the heart of downtown Hillsboro, dedicated to improving pets' lives through better nutrition and holistic care. Our carefully selected inventory includes high-quality kibble, dehydrated, canned, fresh, freeze-dried, and raw pet foods. Our knowledgeable and passionate team takes pride in guiding customers through personalized recommendations, helping them understand the benefits of each option to ensure the best care for their furry family members. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is genuinely interested in pet health and nutrition, enjoys interacting with customers, and is dedicated to nurturing positive relationships. Work Schedule: * Monday, Wednesday, Friday (4 to 6-hour shifts) * Saturday (8-hour shift) Shifts can be opening or closing based on discussion and availability. Our store opens at 9am and closes at 7pm. Responsibilities: * Welcoming customers with warmth and enthusiasm * Assisting customers with pet-related inquiries and purchases * Stocking and organizing merchandise effectively * Regularly lifting and carrying heavy items (up to 50 lbs daily), such as large bags of dog food--physical strength and stamina are essential for this role, so please consider this carefully when applying * Processing transactions accurately via cash and card payments * Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the store * Proactively managing daily tasks including stocking, merchandising, cleaning, and reorganizing * Exhibiting a positive, customer-first attitude to create exceptional shopping experiences Employee Benefits: * Employee discount (wholesale pricing on pet foods and supplies) * Select brand feeding programs offering substantial discounts or even free products * Holiday bonuses * Potential for annual raises * Opportunities for increased hours and career growth Please note, our closing shifts require you to comfortably work alone for a few hours in the evening.
