Full time/Part time Sales Team Member for Annual Department Position Requirements: *Assist customers in choosing appropriate annuals for their gardens. *Answer questions related to, but not limited to, diseases, pests, plant identification, design etc. *Answer phone calls directed to the annual and tropical department. * Must be able unload trucks, price plant material and put material out for sale. Some lifting may be required. Pushing and pulling racks of plants will also be required. * Watering, organizing and keeping the department overall, looking neat, fresh and easy to shop. Skills Required: * Must be customer service oriented with a helpful, positive attitude. * Must be a team player but also willing to work alone and keep busy. Organized. * Disease and pest knowledge (helpful but not required) * Landscape and garden design (helpful but not required) Other Job Requirements: * We are a retail operation and therefore hours may vary. Must be willing to work some day and evening shifts. * Weekends will also be necessary (especially during the busy spring time months). *This position is much more than watering plants. Be prepared to work hard in a hot greenhouse and get dirty. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.50 - $19.00 per hour Benefits: * Employee discount * Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
