Responsibility Summary: This person uses two and three dimensional CAD software for the development and maintenance of product and system designs for air pollution control technology. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: * Create ducting system layouts and part designs to meet the needs of the customer. o Using custom in house CAD add on to assist with design o Ensure project design complies with standard air filtration system design parameters. This skill will be taught if not already a competence * Generate drawings, BOM and Quote for the projects assigned * Assist Manufacturing with part drawings to document key part details for manufacturing * Partner with Inside Sales to ensure customers technical questions are addressed Qualifications:*Key Skills and Attributes:* * Team oriented personality. * Willingness to learn new technology and accept personal responsibility for own development and performance. * Reasoning Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. * Possess a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology. * Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and print layouts * High level of mechanical aptitude. * Expert user of AutoCAD Inventor Software. * Ability to learn new graphic software to compliment the presentation of new Inventor designs. * Must be detail-oriented to avoid design errors and omissions. * Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience: Two to Four years of industrial experience in a mechanical design position. Education \ Certifications: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school in mechanical design and drafting.
