Insurance experience is not required. However, experience in other sales environments is strongly preferred, as this role is focused on sales and outbound contact. Job Description/Responsibilities As an Insurance Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and promoting the agency and insurance products to potential clients. You will work alongside an experienced agency owner and a strong team. While working with the experienced agency owner, you will learn about insurance sales, networking, becoming an agency owner (optional), and much more. You will: * Learn about Farmers insurance products/services * Cultivate strong sales and persuasion skills * Proactively reach out to prospective clients through various channels, including phone calls, emails, business-to-business visits, and networking events. * Collaborate to develop marketing plans to attract new clientele to the agency * Evaluate and identify customers' unique insurance needs to generate quotes * Educate the community on insurance and financial services * Work with an agency owner, the District Office, and clients to ensure agency growth through retaining customers and building new connections * Meet sales targets * Receive new leads every single business day. Candidates must be willing to obtain their Property & Casualty and Life, Accident, and Health licenses for this role. Qualifications We are looking for someone ambitious, accountable, and ready to build a better future. * 1+ year(s) of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals * Must be willing to start new conversations with prospects using various methods (outbound calling, meetings, and networking). * Must be comfortable with business-to-business sales and prospecting. * Fearless attitude towards approaching new people and businesses. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients and build rapport. * Strong persuasion skills, with the desire to learn how to close sales and meet targets. * Extremely motivated with a drive to excel and learn more about insurance. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Must be willing to obtain the Property and Casualty license. * Must be willing to obtain the Life, Accident, and Health license.
