Essential Job Duties: * Identify research and secure new business opportunities, utilizing prospecting skills and community/business networking to quote projects, increase revenue and improve margins. Follow the sales cycle from beginning to end including initial contact; client needs analysis, development of proposals and presentations, and obtaining purchase orders. * Develop sales strategy in concert with business plans, utilizing a strategic planning process that encompasses company, market, and industry trends to ensure coordination of efforts to achieve goals. * Develop and maintain relationships with engineer firms, distributors, mechanical contractors, and end users. * Make 4-6 sales calls a day and 3 cold calls a week. * Follow production of equipment sold to keep customers informed. * Interface daily with customers and co-workers, build customer relationships. * Sell parts and service to support equipment sales and service. Additional Job Duties: * Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest. * Identify and coordinate industry related trade shows to increase company and brand awareness and prospect potential clients. * Maintain and expand your database of prospects. * Team with channel partners to build pipeline and close deals. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree preferred in mechanical or electrical engineering. * Minimum 3 years inside and/or outside sales experience of capital equipment. * Mechanical and electrical knowledge, experience and aptitude is necessary. * This is a technical position and an ability to learn, understand and competently communicate compressor features and benefits is required. Preferred Skills: * Proven selling ability & PC skills are required. Prior experience utilizing sales tools for lead generation. Familiar with MS Office. * Self-starter, works independently, likes to travel. * Excellent customer follow-up, attention to detail, organization and efficient time management skills are required. Physical Demands: * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or driving in a car * Onsite with customers that involve moving, bending, pushing, pulling occasionally. * Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. * Overnight travel is required.
