Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Clerk to join our team in a dynamic retail environment. This role involves working closely with customers, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the store is well- stocked and organized.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to effectively assist customers.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall shopping experience.
• Supervise stock levels, ensuring shelves are well-stocked and organized for optimal presentation.
• Perform basic retail math calculations to assist customers with their purchases.
• Handle phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, providing information as needed.
• Assist in training new staff members on store policies, procedures, and customer service standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately.
• Ability to perform basic retail math calculations confidently.
• Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries effectively.
• Strong collaboration skills to work well within a team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail in stocking products and maintaining store organization.
