Job description About us American Products, Inc. is a small business in Rochester, NY. What we do...we sell promotional products to a niche customer base. Our work environment includes: * Modern office setting * Safe environment * Relaxed atmosphere * On-the-job training * Office Hours 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Can work with the right candidate) Position to be filled: We are looking for a dynamic, energetic go getter who wants to grow with our team! The ideal candidate should have experience in purchasing, sales support and/or a customer service role in a sales environment. Training will be provided. This role will be responsible for: * Support of 3+ sales representatives * Provide open order reports to sales reps weekly * Maintain customer and vendor accounts - updates as necessary * Maintain inventory items - updates as necessary * Order processing / entry / clerical * Sales reps to provide order details * Order entry and follow through from entry to customer delivery * Tracking incoming / outgoing jobs/orders * Support Shipping / Receiving with tracking of orders * Working as a team to get jobs through the process from start to finish * Resolve discrepancies in shipments received vs products ordered * Working with sales, shipping, and our vendors to correct these discrepancies to keep orders moving * Customer Service - Internal / External * Collaboration with: Co-workers to create efficient processes, Vendors to resolve shipping / receiving issues, Sales to research/find new products * Other duties as assigned Experience and Skills needed for this role: * Great! Work Ethic * Strong communication skills both written and verbal * Ability to multitask and manage time appropriately in a high paced environment * Reasoning Ability / Problem Solving * The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot any issues that arise and be proactive, as well as reactive, in any situation. * Decision Making Skills * Excellent to Advanced Computer Skills * Software: QuickBooks Enterprise, Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint * Attention to detail and high level of accuracy * Knowledge of Sales and or the Promotional Product Industry a PLUS! In-house training will be provided. Starting pay is dependent upon the applicant.
