Full description of the position
Looking for a District Sales Manager that is responsible will oversee sales activities within a defined territory and manage sales representatives and customers. Their duties include visiting stores to meet with employees, communicating about sales goals and expectations. This individual will be reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. Responsibilities with Headquarters * Sells the company's products in an assigned territory. * Monitors existing account and regularly communicates with primary contacts for the account. * Assists with the coordination of sales efforts for other territories managed by the team of district managers * Works with Marketing and Sales director in the preparation and analysis for presentations (new items, programs), sales reports and data for supermarket chains meetings. * Implement the sales program for the accounts, and support. * Calendar of Promotions- Quarterly * Display programs * Product distributions * Large quantity sales * Shippers & racks * Slow moving items and soon to expire * Supervise, develop and support new spaces and new items in supermarket chains by implementing demos, participating in resets, summer events, brand activities, grand openings and re-grand openings. Responsibilities with their territory * Collaborates, educates, supervises, rewards or discipline the Sales team in their territory * Develops, expands, and monitors Company portfolio & programs in all accounts in the territory * Reports to Regional Sales Manager on their territory and the team, working under his care. * Increases sales growth in the territory at an established goal determined by Regional Sales Manager. * Supervises Sales Representative's routes, quality of service, and time management. * Positively contribute to team efforts by collaborating with other departments including but not limited to Marketing, Purchasing, Sales, and Vendor representatives in territory visits (i.e., merchandising issues) to accomplish sales, profits and credit goals. * Support distribution projects by following procedures with orders, follow-ups, and performance reports. * Assist Regional Sales Manager with Sales Department PTO coordination for the Sales Representatives * Focus on pushing slow movement items for all supermarket chains and independent stores. * Assist with soon to expire products, introduction of new items, and marketing projects (Shippers, Signs, POS Materials) * Track and evaluate store conditions, establish and implement a plan to reduce damage credits in all customers. * Participate in EMD's Trade Shows (contact customers), weekly conference calls, sales meetings, and other company events * If necessary due to an emergency, place orders when needed by requested time: 3:30pm Monday through Thursday, and 10:30 am Friday * Teach the team in his territory to procure displays and secondary location per Marketing calendar according to seasonality, holidays, and territory demographics. * Work Monday to Friday with some exceptions for Holidays and weekends, advancing route schedulefor: Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July, Labor Day Weekend, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and NewYear's. * Resolve problems according to company procedures at your territory level. * Work with HR, upper management, and legal counsel to implement company procedures * Communication * Maintain & create an open line of communication with employees & coworkers by returning phone calls, text messages, and emails within 24 hours. * Mandatory daily use of AT&T Workforce Tracking System which will be used to evaluate employee performance, timekeeping, and customer satisfaction. * Confidentiality with all EMD Sales information and documentation. * Perform & complete all other duties as assigned. * Qualifications / Skills * Excellent leadership & Mentoring skills * Excellent Organizational skills with attention to detail * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Excellent customer service, and focusing on selling to customer needs * Strong Willingness to adapt to changes * Strong Problem solving*Thorough knowledge of territory, market, and clients * Professionalism * Quality, Product & Customer focus * Well Developed experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) & PowerAnalyzer. * Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds * Bi-lingual preferred * Education and Experience * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required * Associate's Degree in Business Management or equivalent experience preferred * Minimum 2-years of experience in the Food & Beverage industry * Minimum 2-years of experience in the sales role * Willingness to travel required * Valid Driver's License requiredEmd Sales Inc
