Our employees are hired to solve problems and support sales. About the Job: The Account Manager, Gulf Coast West job is about service and support. Your sole responsibility is to travel the I-10 Corridor between Houston and Lake Charles (or vice versa), calling on construction contractors' projects, offices, and companies. And if you know what a Skip Pan is, you'll fit right in! *Things You 'll Do (Just a Sampling): * Supplied with construction project leads; research companies and connect with prospects * Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads. * Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identifies and suggests products (tools, equipment, supplies) and services to meet those needs. * Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to clients' needs. * Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; manages the order from the initial quote through the production process to the shipment. * Collaborates with Inside Sales, E-Commerce, the Purchasing Manager, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed accurately and efficiently and that products are delivered. EJSS * Prepares weekly reports of sales results and status of accounts and leads to the President. Things You Have to Have (No Fudging Allowed): * A bachelor's degree in a related field OR * Thorough understanding of Construction and Industrial tools and equipment products to be sold. * Thorough knowledge of territory, market, and clients. * Ability to travel daily to meet with clients onsite and spend most of the day in a vehicle with overnight stays weekly. * Must be able to lift 45 pounds at times. * Valid Driver's License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record. *Things You 're Good At (What's Good About You): * You have knowledge and experience in the petrochemical industry. * You are a Zig Ziglar when it comes to planning and organizing your personal agenda and travel schedule. * You can always think yourself out of the box with your problem-solving skills. * You are persistent for your clients and sales while adapting to their needs and being flexible for their sake. * You embrace change and new challenges (You would be the last contestant on 'Survivor') * You base your decisions on research and facts. * People frequently ask, "Will you be my new best friend?"
