Description: Industrial Valve Sales and Service is seeking a technician that will conduct assembly, disassembly, set-up, and testing of valve actuators & geared products. They will provide field services for preventive maintenance, installation, and commissioning of valve actuators. Some travel will be required. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assembly of new and repaired valve actuators & gearboxes.
• Disassemble valve actuators geared products when necessary.
• Accurately measure, inspect, and assess needed repairs.
• Read assembly drawings and workorders to ensure proper actuator set-up.
• Ability to use basic electrical tools and test benches.
• Properly set-up valves actuators to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and other customer requirements.
• The ability to work off verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to operate forklift and crane.
• Conduct safe rigging of materials.
• Safely operate company vehicles and maintain a DOT physical year to year.
• Travel to customer sites when needed to perform work.
• Other duties related to the assembly & field services department.

Requirements

:

• Valid Driver's License
• High School Diploma or Equivalent SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
• Mechanical aptitude
• Understanding of basic electrical theories
• Basic math skills
• Read wire diagrams, blueprints & schematics
• Use of forklift
• Use of cranes and rigging NOT REQUIRED BUT A PLUS:
• Welding
• Manual machining
• Strong Electrical/Mechanical aptitude
• Repair of industrial equipment such as gearboxes, electric motors, pumps.
