Position: Account Manager Location: Tempe, AZ Employment Type: Full-time, M-F 9-6 Work style: Office Salary: $70-84K/year * A Japanese manufacturing company specializing in electronics, electrical machinery, and the automotive sectors is looking for an*Account Manager! * Familiarity with Japanese culture is required to effectively perform job responsibilities. Position Summary This role focuses on customer relationship management, order processing, and serving as an engineering point of contact internally and externally. Responsibilities also include customer account and project management. Key Responsibilities Customer Support (50%) * Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries via email, phone, and meetings. * Provide product details, quotes, and specifications. * Negotiate contracts and arrange customer meetings (including overseas travel). * Manage order forms, project development support, and maintain records in Salesforce. * Coordinate domestic and international sample shipments. Sales Administration (20%) * Process and track purchase orders (POs). * Monitor shipments and liaise with shipping providers. * Handle credit account setups and maintain processing. Business Development (20%) * Set sales targets and forecasts. * Identify new customers and projects through outreach. * Present new and existing products to customers. * Conduct market research and analyze trends. Other Duties (10%) * Stay informed about product knowledge and market trends. * Support special projects and ensure compliance with company policies. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in sales/marketing in the engineering industry (3-5 years preferred). * Strong communication, adaptability, and marketing skills. * Proficiency in software tools (Windows, MS Office, Salesforce, etc.). * Basic Japanese language skills preferred but not necessary. * Valid driver's license and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 1-2 times a month or more. Work Environment & Physical Demands * Office-based role with occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs). * Requires extensive computer use and occasional travel.
