Job Description As the Event and Catering Sales Manager , you will play a key role in driving sales for Culinary Canvas' venues, in-house catering, and off-premise catering services. This role is ideal for a results-oriented, people-focused professional who excels at relationship building, consultative selling, and client service. You'll actively manage inbound inquiries, generate new leads, conduct site tours, and close contracts across a variety of event types -- including corporate functions, social events, and conventions. With the support of our operations and culinary teams, you'll ensure that each client's vision is brought to life with excellence. What You 'll Do: Sales & Client Engagement * Generate and respond to leads for venues, in-house catering, and off-premise catering services. * Build strong relationships with prospective and current clients across corporate, social, and convention markets. * Conduct site tours, tastings, and client consultations to understand event needs and present tailored solutions. * Negotiate and finalize contracts, clearly communicating pricing, services, and expectations. Event & Client Handoff * Transition confirmed clients smoothly to the Event Coordination team while ensuring a comprehensive handoff process. * Collaborate with Event Coordinators and the Executive Chef to support successful event execution. * Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile or critical events as needed. Sales Strategy & Reporting * Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets. * Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze trends, and report on sales performance. * Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and industry best practices. Collaboration & Leadership * Partner with the Managing Director and fellow Sales Managers to align sales efforts with company goals. * Provide feedback and support to Event Coordinators to ensure excellent client service. Who You Are: * Experienced in catering, event sales, or hospitality sales (2+ years preferred). * Skilled at consultative selling, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. * Personable, engaging, and comfortable leading site visits, tastings, and client presentations. * Organized and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through and communication skills. * Familiar with CRM systems and event management software (Tripleseat experience a plus). * Available for evening and weekend events, as needed, to meet client needs.
