Job Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Entry Level Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with their shopping needs. You will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming environment for shoppers while ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized. This will be a face-to-face sales environment. Duties * Greet customers as they enter the store and provide assistance with their inquiries. * Operate the cash register, handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently. * Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a neat and organized shopping experience. * Assist customers in finding products and provide recommendations based on their needs. * Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. * Supervise junior staff members when necessary, ensuring adherence to store policies. * Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom areas. * Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management. Skills * Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor. * Experience with cash handling and operating a cash register is preferred. * Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately. * Ability to stock merchandise effectively while maintaining store standards. * Previous experience in a grocery store setting is a plus but not required. * Bilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating with diverse customers. * Capability to supervise others when needed, fostering teamwork within the store environment. * A proactive approach to selling and upselling products to enhance customer experience.
