Position: Regional Sales Manager Territory: Multi-State Territory (Canadian border, CT, ME, VE, RI, NY, MD, DE PA) Location: Will consider anywhere in the northeast, but preferable locations would PA, NY or CT Travel: 10-12 nights per month
Compensation
: $80,000 - $85,000 base salary + commissions paid monthly (1st year guarantee of $130,000) About our Client: Our Client is a global leader with operations across multiple countries - with 2 manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and 8 regional service centers as well. The company has a full-time RD team and designs and builds all of their products with the latest technology available. This is a well-established and well-taken-care-of territory. This role will include a combination of hunting and farming, and will develop and manage all sales activities in the assigned region. The role is opening up because of a long tenured employee retiring, and this person will participate in the initial onboarding and training. Sales Account Manager responsibilities:
- Organize, plan and control sales activities
- Coordinate efforts across the sales ecosystem to maximize estimated manufacturing profit
- Update and circulate current knowledge on market potential and competition
- Contribute to the development of new applications and products
- Structure and organize customer teams/assignments for optimum performance
- Maintain, protect and improve the reputation in the marketplace
- Provide on-time, realistic book and monthly and annual forecast
- Develop senior executive level contacts at customer accounts
- Establish sales quotas for all areas within assigned region
- Cooperate with regions to share and leverage market information
- Ensure proper communication between all departments to facilitate on-time delivery schedules
- Attend and participate in activities of external technical societies, as well as related trade shows
- Timely follow up on sales leads generated from marketing group and provide necessary feedback on status of the lead
- Daily visits to customers and potential customers to generate business About You:
- Degree is preferred (Engineering)
- 4+ years of B2B selling experience required (experience selling capital equipment, custom engineering products, and/or automation is preferred)
- Experience with induction heating and melting equipment, and/or in the forging, foundry or heat treating industry is a plus
- Highly self-motivated and ability to work without supervision
- Strong customer-facing skills required - ability to communicate both written and orally with customers as well as ability to facilitate and conduct meetings
- CRM experienced desired/preferred
- Must have valid driver's license for travel and overnight stays in assigned region
