Overview

As an HVAC Lead Generator, you work inside retail store to engage with shoppers and encourage them to sign up for a free in-home estimate for HVAC services (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning). Your main goal is to create leads -- meaning getting customer contact information and interest -- for the company's HVAC sales team to follow up with a full quote or inspection.

Duties

• Stand or walk within a designated retail location.
• Approach customers in a friendly, professional way.
• Explain basic benefits of getting a free HVAC estimate (energy savings, promotions, system upgrades, etc.).
• Answer simple questions (more technical questions are handled later by a technician).
• Collect customer information (name, address, phone number, best times for appointments).
• Enter or submit leads according to company procedures.
• Meet or exceed daily/weekly lead goals.
• Represent the HVAC company's brand professionally.

Qualifications

• Outgoing and comfortable talking to new people.
• Strong communication and persuasion skills.
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems is a plus, but not always required -- training is usually provided.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods.
• Reliable transportation to different store locations (sometimes required).
• Basic computer or tablet skills to enter customer info.
