Job Title: Sales Director Assistant Location: Best Western Plus KC Speedway (may require travel to other assigned hotels) Job Hours: 08:30 AM - 04.30 PM (Monday - Friday) Note: Weekends may be required for group events or client meetings. Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales Director Assistant to join our team and assist Management in driving revenue growth for a portfolio of hotels. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sales and business development, with a strong focus on increasing occupancy and securing new business. This role is integral in the development and implementation of strategies aimed at enhancing room revenue, improving STAR reports, and boosting mid-week occupancy through locally negotiated rates (LNRs). Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development: * Assist Management in securing new business through cold calls and hotel tours for potential clients. * Focus on increasing locally negotiated rate (LNR) accounts to improve mid-week occupancy. * Travel to meet clients, attend Chamber of Commerce events, and participate in Visit KC initiatives to promote the hotels. * Ensure competitive positioning of hotel rates within the market. * Obtain rate approvals from the management team before quoting rates to potential clients. Revenue Management & Reporting: * Monitor competitive hotel rates and adjust accordingly, particularly during special events. * Manage CVENT, CVENT Group, and Event Connect for all hotels. * Submit weekly reports to the General Managers and leadership team regarding performance. * Conduct parking lot shop visits for competitor analysis and identify revenue opportunities. Hotel Operations & System Training: * Receive and maintain training on each hotel's property management system (PMS) for group bookings, LNRs, and direct bill creation. * Ensure all negotiated rates and group bookings are documented and communicated accurately. * Clock in and out at the hotel, unless otherwise directed to work from home with prior approval. * Perform additional duties as assigned to support hotel operations. Job Requirements: * Strong communication and organizational skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Flexibility to work weekends based on business needs. * Ability to travel to different locations as needed. * Previous sales or hospitality is preferred but not required.
