Role: We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to play a pivotal role in growing our business--combining tactical sales management with active participation in sales. This role is not solely supervisory; it requires someone willing to roll up their sleeves, engage directly with customers, and personally drive sales, in addition to motivating and coaching teams, managing disciplined sales operations, and effectively navigating a multi-state territory. Responsibilities: * Lead, coach, and develop a team of outside sales representatives, providing ongoing training and support to maximize their performance and career growth. * Develop and execute effective sales strategies tailored to each market, leveraging a clear understanding of customer needs and market dynamics. * Implement and help refine sales processes that routinely convert new leads into meaningful opportunities and closed sales. * Drive disciplined use of our CRM system, managing sales activities through key performance indicators to ensure accurate tracking of leads and opportunities. * Support and coach sales representatives in the field, maximizing their productivity and effectiveness. * Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building in the homebuilder and construction industry. * Collaborate closely with sales and marketing leadership to align sales plans with promotional campaigns, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging. Qualifications: * Proven track record in sales management, preferably in the building materials, home improvement, or construction industry. * Deep understanding of disciplined sales processes, from initial customer engagement through pipeline management to deal closing. * Experience in managing sales teams using CRM systems to monitor, measure, and drive sales activities. * Exceptional ability to communicate, negotiate, and build relationships at all levels of an organization. * Results-oriented mindset, demonstrating the ability to achieve and exceed sales targets. * Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time to manage a geographically dispersed sales team and customer base.
