Overview Candlewood Suites Kansas City Speedway is looking for a highly motivated individual to sell and market its full kitchenette suites! This extended-stay hotel is in prime location in the Legends shopping mall and close to two major interstate highways. The ideal individual needs to be a people person and needs to have a can-do attitude. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technology sales and demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities. This role requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends, develop effective sales strategies, and foster strong relationships with clients. As a Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales approach and achieving our business objectives. What's the job? As Sales Director you'll develop and set revenue sales and marketing strategies for the hotel to ensure plans are implemented, results are monitored, and sales goals are achieved. Regularly sell hotel rooms through direct client contacts. Duties * Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company goals. * Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities. * Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. * Oversee account management activities to maintain strong client relationships. * Collaborate with General Manager to align sales initiatives with promotional efforts. * Monitor sales performance metrics, preparing reports for senior management. * Raise the awareness and reputation of your hotel and the brand locally * Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, and sales * Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share, and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed the established revenue plan * Identify improvements to marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with other departments Experience * Proven experience in a sales leadership role. * Strong background in technical sales with the ability to understand complex products. * Demonstrated success in managing teams and driving business development initiatives. * Excellent analytical skills to assess market conditions and make informed decisions. * Proficiency in account management practices, ensuring client satisfaction and retention. * Exceptional negotiation skills with a track record of closing high-value deals. * Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
