Job Title: Senior Relationship Manager Department: Scholarships and Programs Reports To: Director, Program Management FLSA Status: Exempt * JOB DESCRIPTION The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for managing designated program relationships that are complex in design including components such as scholarships, internships, and senior mentorships. The Senior Relationship Manager is responsible for interacting with donors, students, and departmental staff to manage existing programs and relationships, and create new programs. Assignments may be based on the geographical area in which the program is administered and/or the type of degree for which the support is awarded (i.e. Communications, Engineering, Science/Math, Social Sciences). PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Manages day-to-day sponsored undergraduate and graduate scholarship and internship programs; including the planning, coordination, awarding and administrating/processing and follow-up of scholarship funds. * Provide input for the mission, strategic imperatives, goals and objectives for the department. * Propose annual recruitment, applicant program definition, outreach pool and grantee composition targets. * Develop marketing tools and strategies; identify communication modes and channels for target audiences. * Propose eligibility and application requirements, outreach strategy and campaign execution, online application and website revisions for renewal scholarship and internship programs. * Develop applicant communication channels and materials; oversee application process, grantee selection and notification. * Assess program information and feedback to internal and external stakeholders. * Develop and present reports and proposals to donors for funding of new and continuing scholarship and institutional initiatives. * Coordinate the administration of scholarship, internship and other related programs with the appropriate Development department in accordance with the program's design. * Monitor the financial activity of assigned scholarship programs. * Coordinate and deliver periodic surveys of assigned scholarships, internships and other related programs. * Provide assistance with financial literacy regarding admissions, financial aid and other resources. * May represent the UNCF at selected check presentations and college fairs. * SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May supervise 2-3 staff members in accordance with the organization's policies, performance guidelines and applicable laws. * QUALIFICATIONS: * EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university. Masters degree preferred and at least 3-5 years' experience in Program Administration. * OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Strong organizational and written and oral communication skills. * Requires familiarity with curriculum in higher education (particularly HBCUs). * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. * COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS * Benefits include: Medical, Dental & Vision Vacation, Sick & Personal Leave Life Insurance (Basic & Optional) Flex Spending Accounts 403(b) Retirement Account Holiday Savings Plan Annual Success Sharing * Salary Range:* $76,700.00 To $86,300.00 per year (Salary is commensurate with experience.)
