Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them with their shopping needs. As a Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment and driving sales in our retail store. Duties * Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. * Operate cash registers and POS systems efficiently, ensuring accurate transactions. * Engage with customers to promote products and services, utilizing upselling techniques when appropriate. * Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product offerings to effectively communicate with customers. * Assist in stocking shelves and organizing merchandise to create an appealing shopping experience. * Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally. * Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards. Skills * Previous experience in a grocery store or retail sales environment is preferred. * Proficiency in operating cash registers and POS systems is essential. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers. * Ability to perform basic retail math for transactions and inventory management. * Bilingual candidates are highly desirable, as they can assist a diverse customer base. * A passion for sales and the ability to engage customers through upselling techniques is a plus. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain store presentation.
